D.I.Y CHALKBOARD LABEL JARS★
You'll need
- Glass jar with lid
- Chalkboard paint
- White spray paint
- Spray paint for the lid (color of your choice)
- Piece of cardstock paper to cut out the label
- Paintbrush
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Tacky glue (I used a tape runner, but recommend tacky glue for a more firm hold)
- Chalk
- Optional: Spray paint sealer
STEPS
1.Remove any existing labels from the jar by soaking it in warm water and peeling away.2.Remove lid from the jar, turn it upside down and paint it white, following the instructions on your spray paint bottle.
3.Spray paint the lid with your desired color. Once it is dry, flip it
over and paint the other side so that it is completely covered.
4.While the paint dries, we can get started on the chalkboard labels.
Trace your desired pattern onto a piece of cardstock paper with a pencil
and cut it out.
5.Paint the label with chalkboard paint, following the instructions on the bottle.
6.Optional: Add a coat of spray paint sealer to the jar and lid. I didn't use it on my jars, but you can add it for extra durability.
7.Once the jar, lid and label are completely dry, apply glue to the back of the label and attach it to the jar.
